Allyson Felix

Allyson Michelle Felix was born in Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix is a minister at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a elementary school teacher at Balboa Magnet. Felix demonstrated a talent for sports early, and discovered her athletic abilities when she attended the Los Angeles Baptist High School. At her first attempt and placing among the top two athletes at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships for the 200 meters in a mere 10 weeks. In 2003, Felix completed her high school graduation having signed a professional contract with the company that makes sports Adidas and then enrolled at the University of Southern California where she was studying elementary education. Felix was presented with her first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece. Felix ran 200 meters in 22.18s which set the new world junior record. In 2005, the Helsinki World Championships saw her become the shortest woman ever to win the 200 meter race. She defended the title by beating her Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix always placed in the top third of each of her races in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
