Allyson Felix

Allyson Nicole Felix was born November 18 the 18th of November, 1985, at Los Angeles. Paul Felix served as an ordained minister within Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix discovered early that she was gifted in running while attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. At her first attempt, she placed among the top two athletes at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships in the 200 meters in just 10 weeks. Felix signed a contract for an official career at Adidas in 2003. She later enrolled in University of Southern California to pursue a degree in elementary education. The first Olympic medal was won at the 2004 Summer Olympics held in Athens Greece. Felix set a world junior record for sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 seconds. She became the youngest world champion in the 200 meters at the Helsinki World Championships and defended her title in 2007, beating her long-time Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix consistently placed within the top third of each of her races in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
